Dave Goldberg, the Chief Executive of SurveyMonkey has died at age 47, leaving behind a young family and growing company. This is a very sad loss indeed. Many sociologists and other social researchers utilise his compnay’s software in creating relatively inexpensive online surveys.

I also wanted to point out that most news headlines and leading paragraphs note his positon as CEO as well as the fact that he is Sheryl Sandberg’s husband. Not quite the treatment women in science and technology receive, as their position as mother and wife is usually a central aspect of obituaries.
