Women Nobel Prize Winners: Tawakkol Karman
This is Tawakkol Karman, Winner of the Nobel Peace Price 2011. She was awarded this prize along with two other women activists “for their non-violent struggle for the safety of women and for women’s rights to full participation in peace-building work.”

Malala Yousafzai and children’s right activist Kailash Satyarthi were awarded the 2014 Nobel Peace Prize, “for their struggle against the suppression of children and young people and for the right of all children to education… The Nobel Committee regards it as an important point for a Hindu and a Muslim, an Indian and a Pakistani, to join in a common struggle for education and against extremism.”
